Part-time Bilingual Case Manager

Qualifications: Bachelors degree preferred
Some evenings and Saturday hours required; flexibility in scheduling a must
Must speak/read/write Spanish and English fluently
Well versed in personal financial planning

Reports to: Counseling Program Coordinator

Responsibilities:
1. Complete 40 Hour Domestic Violence Training.
2. Obtain ICDVP certification within one year and 30 hours of continuing education units (CEUs) over two years.
3. Comply with the Counseling Program Manual.
4. Provide financial education to clients, individually and in groups, utilizing the REAP and/or other financial education curricula.
5. Assist clients to identify and establish realistic financial, employment and educational goals.
6. Have a working knowledge of federal, state, local and other resources that support the goals of Project RENEW, and compile and maintain a resource guide.
7. Meet with clients on a regular basis to develop strategies to achieve financial independence.
8. Serve as liaison between clients and financial and educational institutions.
9. Monitor and allocate funds from various sources of financial support.
10. Facilitate applications for healthcare, financial, employment, and educational resources.
11. Provide outreach within Hispanic communities.
12. Maintain knowledge of INS regulations, VAWA, and U-Visa laws to assist clients as needed.
13. Represent SSFS at coalition meetings.
14. Meet with clients in any of the SSFS sites as deemed appropriate by the Program Coordinator.
15. Staff cases monthly with Program Coordinator and referring counselor.
16. Complete all necessary forms and submit to Program Coordinator as described below:
• Timesheets and client related paperwork by Tuesday of each week.
• Program Reports by last day of the month.
• Weekly schedules to the main office by Monday of each week.
17. Attend all mandatory program meetings.
18. Attend All-Staff meetings.
19. Assist in program fundraising efforts.
20. Work with other staff to maintain open communication and develop a team approach.
21. Other duties as assigned.
