Orientations for the Green Jobs Certification Program

Upcoming Orientations for the Green Jobs Certification Program

The Green Jobs initiative is a jobs training program that will prepare unemployed or "on the bench" construction workers that are interested in "greening up" their skills for current and future Green economy.

Program Benefits:

Obtain up to 3 industrial certifications (Building Operator Certificate, Building Performance Initiative, Building Energy Technology)

Earn up to 21 college credit hours (6 courses)

Job Placement assistance

Childcare & Transportation assistance

Program Eligibility & Requirements:

Be 18 years old
Be a legal resident
Experience working in construction
Live in one of the following communities: Pilsen, Little Village, Back of the Yards, McKinley Park, Brighton Park, Archer Heights, Gage Park or Bridgeport
Commit to completing a 12-19 month jobs advancement training program
Be unemployed or low-income
Take a placement exam (score at least 7-8th grade)
