Student Networking Volunteer Opportunity

Hello!

We’re reaching out to local colleges and universities to offer an opportunity for any interested students to volunteer at our annual fundraising
event, The Working Lunch, where they will be able to network and talk to the 1,000+ education, civic and business leaders that attend every year.
The luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 4 at the Fairmont Hotel, 200 N. Columbus Drive in the Imperial Ballroom.

Women Employed is the premier organization in Chicago working to improve economic opportunities for women, and our
luncheon is the event for those who want to get involved and make a difference in the lives of working women, particularly low-income
women.

The Working Lunch is a fantastic event where attendees come together to celebrate our progress and discuss how we can work together to make life better for working women. Our keynote speaker will be attorney and author Dr. Riane Eisler, whose work on cultural transformation has inspired both scholars and social activists. Her newest book, The Real Wealth of Nations: Creating a Caring Economics outlines a new approach to economics that gives visibility and value to the work of caring and care-giving.

We make sure volunteers have the opportunity to hear the keynote. Most assignments will involve some contact with our guests and business attire is expected. We ask volunteers to commit time from 8am until approximately 2pm, but we can also work within your available hours.

This event is a fantastic opportunity to meet and network with nonprofit and corporate leaders, policy makers and distinguished Chicagoans
committed to improving economic opportunities for women. I have attached a one-pager about this opportunity. Please post in your
departments and forward on to anyone that you think may be interested. Thanks in advance!

To volunteer, please contact Kate Stewart at 773/486-6920 or at Kate@hooplagroupla.biz.

Best regards,

Tracy Fletcher
